ABW Fellowship Stories: Hannah Miro

Last year, Hannah Miro, Data and Knowledge Manager at Illinois Action for Children, participated in the Analytics for a Better World Fellowship Program.

During the last part of the program, Hannah developed a project applying the knowledge she gathered during the fellowship classes. The project, Assessing Risk and Success Factors for Early Childhood Collaborations, aimed at creating a dashboard to show state of need for each region in which Illinois Action for Children operates, consisted of three phases: identifying numeric rate of change in risk and success in areas served by collaborations, predicting impact on communities not currently served by collaborations, and creating dashboard to show state of need for each region.

We interviewed Hannah to showcase her experience in the 2023 Analytics for a Better World Fellowship Program. First, she introduces her role as a data and knowledge manager. Then, she shares more about the project she developed during the program. Finally, she reflects on the program and gives an advice to the next cohort.
