The Impact Accelerator Program
Meet the Selection Committee of the Impact Accelerator Program!

Britt van Veggel
Britt van Veggel is a last-year PhD student at the University of Amsterdam and part of the ABW team. In her research, Britt focuses on geospatial accessibility problems—in simpler terms, Britt researches how to ensure people can physically reach essential services. For instance, Britt worked on deciding which roads to improve to make facilities accessible during natural disasters, and on finding the best spots to place water wells so that as many people as possible can use them. When asked what she brings to the table of the Impact Accelerator Program, Britt said:
Thanks to my PhD projects, I know what makes these projects feasible and impactful. Also, I hope to bring new perspectives to the table: an intersectional perspective that critically considers if projects ensure communities maintain their sovereignty and self-sufficiency when an NGO gets involved.
Olga Zeijpveld
Olga Zeijpveld is Director of Operations at ORTEC Data Science & Consulting, with a background in electrical engineering and extensive leadership experience in defence, telecom, and consulting. Known for her analytical mindset and people-oriented approach, she enjoys achieving results together. When asked to describe herself as a committee member, Olga said:
I bring drive, a critical mindset, and a strong sense of responsibility. I value honest and objective decision-making and contribute with analytical thinking and attention to detail – aiming for balanced, well-founded outcomes.
Jerry Yurchisin
Jerry Yurchisin, with over a decade of experience in operations research, data science, and visualization, specializes in enhancing decision-making with data. Before joining Gurobi, Jerry worked in consulting supporting numerous projects by building and customizing mathematical optimization models and leveraging machine learning, applied statistics, and simulation—all to support decision-making through data-driven narratives. Jerry also has taught a wide variety of college-level mathematics and statistics courses and has a passion for education. When asked why he decided to join the Impact Accelerator Program, Jerry said:
I’ve followed ABW for a while now after being introduced to a few people who work for the organization. I’ve seen the great and impactful work they do, and I whole-heartedly believe in the organization’s mission. I’m excited to use my experience to help shape future initiatives that can help improve our world.
